Most installations take 5-10 days depending on square footage, subfloor condition, and the finish system. This includes acclimation time, install, sanding, stain, and finish coats. We'll give you a day-by-day schedule during the consultation.

Why does the wood need to acclimate?

Hardwood expands and contracts with humidity. Acclimating the wood to your home's environment (usually 3-5 days) prevents cupping, gapping, and buckling after installation. It's the step most installers skip — and the reason most problems happen.

Can I choose my stain color and finish sheen?

Absolutely. We'll show you stain samples on your actual wood species so you see the real result — not a swatch card. You choose the color and sheen level, and we apply a finish system built for durability.

What species of hardwood do you install?

We work with oak (red and white), maple, hickory, walnut, and other domestic hardwoods. We'll recommend species based on your style, budget, traffic, and how the wood takes stain.

Nail-down or glue-down — which is better?

It depends on your subfloor. Nail-down is standard over plywood subfloors. Glue-down is used over concrete or when floating isn't ideal. We'll assess your subfloor during the walkthrough and recommend the best method.

Can you match or blend new hardwood into my existing floors?

In many cases, yes. We can weave new boards into existing hardwood and sand/finish everything together for a seamless look. Matching depends on species, age, and sun exposure — we'll give you an honest assessment.

Do you handle removing the old flooring?

Yes. We handle demo and disposal of existing flooring — carpet, tile, vinyl, or old hardwood — as part of the project scope.

How soon can we walk on the floors?
